Overview
Lutron Electronics is the leading manufacturer of lighting controls worldwide. We are building a world-class legal department to support Lutron as we continue to grow the company domestically and internationally. Our legal department supports virtually every team across Lutron, from engineering, purchasing, sales, and marketing to customer support and beyond, and has an immediate opening for a detail-oriented, versatile and proactive Associate Paralegal. In this role you will provide day-to-day support across our operations and gain exposure to diverse areas of law. Responsibilities
- Provide support to Lutron's attorneys and other paralegals, including:
- Business Law: intake, filing, status tracking; draft and revise routine contracts independently following established parameters and escalation guidelines.
Litigation: organize case files, manage calendars, and coordinate document collections with outside counsel.Intellectual Property: maintain docketing records, track deadlines, and liaise with IP counsel.Compliance: help maintain compliance tracking systems and calendars, maintain policy documents, and assist with regulatory filings.
- Support multiple concurrent projects from initiation through completion.
- Maintain project timelines, milestones, and status reports.
- Coordinate cross-departmental collaboration on complex matters.
Qualifications
- Two year paralegal degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in an in-house role. Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.
- 3 to 5 years' work experience, with strong preference for experience supporting legal teams.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams is required; SharePoint experience a significant plus.
- Willingness and ability to quickly learn any other applications relevant to the role, including the latest legal technology.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Customer focus, with strong communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work and navigate within a complex, matrix organization.
- Understanding and demonstrated sensitivity to matters involving confidentiality and attorney-client privilege.
