Description
GRB Law seeks an Estate Administration Paralegal for its Oakmont location. The position will entail preforming a wide range of estate administration functions that includes, drafting estate planning and administration documents, deeds and real estate documents. The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience in these areas. Position would become hybrid (one day per week) after 90 day introductory period has been completed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare probate and administration documents for formal and informal proceedings.
- Maintain financial records for use in accountings and preparation of tax returns.
- Preparation of Agreements for informal settlement of estates.
- Prepare asset transfer documents, such as deeds, asset assignments and documents for transfer of non-probate assets.
- Extensive communication with clients, financial planners and accountants.
- Establish close rapport with client and beneficiaries to ensure positive and cooperative working relationship during the course of the estate administration.
- Compile materials required in connection with an audit of estate and/or inheritance tax returns.
- Prepare Receipts and Releases in connection with distributions from an estate or trust.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ideal candidate has 5+ years of working in Estate Administration.
- Working knowledge of Lackner 6-in-1.
- Paralegal certificate is preferred.
- Highly detailed, organized, and multi-tasker.
- Ability to manage workflow assigned by multiple attorneys and work under tight deadlines and other time constraints with competing and shifting priorities.
- Ability to keep clients on task in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently while effectively working as part of a team.
- Ability to problem solve and maintain good judgment and strict confidentiality.
- Strong research and investigative skills.
- Ability to accept ownership of projects and successfully drive the project tasks on a daily basis.
- Positive and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Lackner 6 in 1.
