Description
Busy plaintiff’s personal injury firm seeks experienced legal assistant/paralegal. At least 3 years personal injury experience a must. Candidate must also have significant pre-litigation and trial preparation experience. Candidates will be expected to work independently and handle a case from filing the complaint to assisting the attorneys with trial.
Candidate MUST possess the following criteria:
Prepare, file and serve pleadings, motions, discovery, pre-trial docs, post trial docs, and minors compromises.
Propound/Respond to discovery
Prepare 2034 Exchange documents
Schedule and Prepare expert deposition notices and subpoenas
Schedule depositions, court hearings, and other meetings
Ensure compliance with all pre-trial deadlines and requirements as set forth in the California Rules of Court, Code of Civil Procedure, and Local Rules for the Superior Courts of Sacramento, El Dorado and Placer counties as well as Federal Court filings and Court of Appeals filings.
Schedule client appointments with consulting medical experts.
