MBM|LAW is seeking a qualified applicant to fill the position of Paralegal – Legal Administrative Assistant. The position requires a self-motivated individual to provide support and overall daily management to the Firm's partners and to assist attorneys with the Firm’s commercial real estate and corporate transactional matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
- Familiar with commercial real estate transactions, commercial agreements and related documents.
- Preparing initial draft of simple contracts, leases, acquisition documents and closing binders.
- Assisting with negotiation of real estate and commercial transactional matters.
- Track correspondence requiring responses and respond were appropriate; Inform attorneys of status and deadlines.
- Prepare, review and proof correspondence and documents.
- Familiarity with forming business entities and related documents.
- Will act as liaison between partners and attorneys/staff.
- Assist partners with transactional closings, meetings, conferences, etc.
- Coordinate and maintain calendars and task lists for partners.
Requirements
Education and Key Job Competencies.
1. Two year degree or equivalent certification.
2. 3+ years of transactional and real estate experience.
3. Strong research and analytical skills.
4. Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
5. Ability to work collaboratively and proactively as needed.
6. Must have excellent 0365 skills and experience with all 0365 products especially Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
7. Familiarity with Allegheny County Department of Real Estate, Allegheny County Department of Court Records, and other Recorder of Deeds websites.
8. Required to have strong organizational skills and talent to prepare, coordinate and maintain calendars and task lists for multiple attorneys.
