Description
Established Marietta law firm seeking an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Paralegal to support the Partner. This role will also be involved with Municipal City Court matters (Traffic Court) for the City Solicitor. This position requires a candidate capable of managing files independently and handling substantive drafting and probate administration responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
-Draft estate planning documents, including Wills, Revocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Directives and communicate with clients
-Prepare and file probate petitions and related pleadings in Georgia Probate Courts
-Administer probate and trust matters from initiation through closing, and assist Fiduciary with monthly responsibilities
-Maintain attorney calendar, including court dates, filing deadlines, and client meetings
-Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
-Organize and handle various Municipal City Court (Traffic Court) matters for the City’s Solicitor, including communicating with defendants/defense attorneys, courts, and third parties regarding case status, and preparation for quarterly bench trials
-Assist with legal research and document preparation as needed
-Track billable time and assist with billing entries
Requirements
Minimum 2–5 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on estate planning and/or probate, or Paralegal certificate or degree in related field of study
Demonstrated experience drafting estate planning and probate documents
Working knowledge of Georgia Probate Court procedures and filing requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters concurrently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), 50+ WPM
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with legal billing software (e.g., Timeslips, TABS, or similar)
