LITIGATION PARALEGAL — FAMILY LAW EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
We are seeking an experienced paralegal to join our legal team. Candidates with experience in family law or litigation are encouraged to apply.We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple active cases. The right candidate should be able to handle legal documents, deadlines, client communication, and day-to-day case management with increasing independence after training.
Responsibilities:
Draft motions, affidavits, discovery responses, correspondence, and other legal documents
Organize and maintain active case files
Track deadlines, court dates, and case-related tasks
Assist attorneys with case preparation and litigation
Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties
Prepare and organize documents for filing
Work with case management systems, e-filing platforms, and legal databases
Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Manage multiple files and competing priorities
Follow established office procedures and workflows
Qualifications:
Prior paralegal or litigation experience required
Family law experience preferred
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple active files
Professional and comfortable communicating directly with clients
Comfortable learning new software and legal technology
Able to work independently after training
Important:
This is an experienced paralegal position. We are looking for candidates with prior legal, paralegal, or litigation experience.
This is not an administrative assistant position, and we are not seeking candidates whose primary objective is to pursue a career as an attorney.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience preferred.
Work Environment: This is an in-person position involving extensive computer work, legal document preparation, case management, file organization, and regular client communication. Reasonable accommodations may be made as necessary.
