Cole Pedroza LLP, a mid-sized, appellate/litigation law firm, is currently seeking a highly motivated, litigation paralegal. Duties and Responsibilities

Works collaboratively with attorneys and support staff in preparing legal documents and document productions

Prepares subpoenas

Reviews/summaries medical records

Researches claim documents and prepares/updates spreadsheets

Edits legal documents for accurate spelling, grammar, legal and record citations, including but not limited to discovery, motions, summary judgement motions, appellate briefs, affidavits, memoranda, and letters

Summarizes trial and deposition transcripts

Investigates factual information to respond to litigation discovery requests or other information inquiries.

Makes record requests, follow-up, and summarizing medical records

Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements

1800 billable year requirement.

Must have experience in meeting a billable requirement

4 year degree in relevant course work a plus

High Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe

Excellent communication and organization abilities

Excellent grammatical and spelling skills

Strong research and report generating skills

Experience in using legal database software
