Abrams, Gorelick, Friedman & Jacobson, LLP was founded in 1968 and serves as counsel to insurance companies, third-party administrators, risk managers, adjusters, and self-insured businesses. In addition to its trails and appellate practice, the firm represents the risk and insurance industries in coverage analysis, reinsurance, corporate and regulatory matters.
We are currently seeking an Insurance Defense Paralegal who is detailed oriented, organized and be able to multi-task to meet deadlines. Duties include but are not limited to discovery, trial preparation, requesting and summarizing records and depositions. E-Filing a must!! Exceptional computer skills are a must. Must have strong job stability and stellar references.
Requirements
- Legal Research: Conducting thorough research on laws, regulations, and case precedents to support legal arguments and documentation.
- Document Preparation: Drafting legal documents such as authorizations, pleadings, and discovery requests, ensuring they meet legal standards.
- Client Communication: Interacting with clients to gather information, provide updates, and assist in case management.
- Case Management: Organizing case files, managing deadlines, and ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared for court.
- Trial Preparation: Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials by organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and summarizing depositions.
- Administrative Tasks: Performing clerical duties such as filing documents, scheduling appointments, and maintaining legal databases
