Description
The growing law firm of Flaherty & Hood, P.A. in Minnesota is seeking a legal administrative assistant to join its growing legal practice supporting its attorneys for legal projects and office administration.
Responsibilities
- For criminal prosecution cases, manage case files, draft and file legal case documents, prepare and submit documents, information, and answers for discovery requests, and work with local law enforcement to transfer case materials
- Provide occasional assistance in civil and administrative litigation cases
- Provide office administration support in processing employee-related documents and requests and handling various office supply and equipment matters
- Perform clerical functions, such as preparing correspondence, maintaining client files and library, and answering phone calls, among other administrative duties

Requirements
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
- Attention to detail
- Professional and positive interactions with firm staff and third parties
- Ability to manage time and get work accomplished with varied volume, extent, and deadlines of work
Education:
High school or equivalent (Required)
Associate's or Undergraduate Degree (Preferred)
Experience:
Microsoft Word: 1 year (Required)
